ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
The Management of MetalLogic, respecting that energy sources are not inexhaustible and realizing that its activities could potentially have an impact on the environment, makes the maximum effort both to reduce these impacts and to maintain the balance of the ecosystem . For these reasons, MetalLogic – in the context of healthy entrepreneurship and based on the principles of sustainable development – fully complies with the applicable legislation at national and European level, with the codes of conduct concerning its operation and takes care to take preventive and corrective measures measures to prevent the burden on the environment.
All its actions and activities are in line with what is defined in Article 24 of the Constitution, regarding the Protection of the Environment, with Law 4819/2021 concerning an integrated framework for Waste Management and Recycling and Law 4042 /2012 on the Criminal Protection of the Environment. In addition, MetalLogic, in order to achieve its goals, implements an Environmental Management System compliant with the European EMAS Regulation and the ISO 14001:2015 standard.
DEFINITIONS - ABBREVIATIONS
EMS: Environmental Management System
Environmental Impact: Any change in the environment that comes from external factors.
Ecosystem: Basic ecological unit consisting of the natural environment and the organisms that live in it. It includes biotic and abiotic elements such as water, soil, sun, air.
ESG: Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance.
Threats: The potential adverse situations that may affect individual activities, products, services or building infrastructures of MetalLogic, with negative effects on their environmental performance or environmental efficiency.
Green Entrepreneurship: Modern form of economic activity that meets the needs of businesses for profitability and growth, taking into account the environmental dimension.
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The Management of MetalLogic is committed to the continuous implementation of the Environmental Management System as well as to its continuous improvement. The continuous improvement of the Environmental Management System will be achieved through the review and revision of both the System and the set objectives. The following are defined as the general objectives of environmental management:
- The continuous investigation of taking preventive or corrective initiatives for the most productive use of the resources required for the effective operation of MetalLogic.
- The continuous awareness of the staff on environmental issues.
- The constant effort to reduce the potential impact on the environment through the redesign of routes and the renewal of its means of transport.
- The publication of the environmental impacts of MetalLogic’s operation, as well as the measures taken to reduce these impacts.
- Maintaining and enhancing the company’s reputation for environmental protection.
The achievement of these general objectives is accomplished by the application of methods of control, monitoring and measurement of all processes that fall under the functions of design and production of products/services, supplies and collaborations, technical support, etc. as well as by defining specific measurable objectives management. In the context of implementing environmental management, policy and achieving the current or revised goals and objectives, MetalLogic provides all the required means and implements environmental management programs, which it communicates appropriately to all stakeholders.

POLICY
The Management of MetalLogic adopts a specific policy and strategy regarding environmental management. In particular:
- It seeks the continuous improvement of its environmental performance
- It aims to reduce the environmental footprint
- It supports and promotes the strengthening of green entrepreneurship
- It deals with environmental climate risk management
- It monitors and measures its environmental performance in order to reduce the impact of its operation
- Sets improvement goals
- Implements and evaluates environmental management and environmental protection actions (eg energy and water saving programs, recycling, waste management)
- It adopts an ESG strategy by integrating environmentally friendly actions and policies.
- It raises awareness of the welfare of society, the protection of the environment and the support of a sustainable tomorrow for all. As part of this strategy, data is collected, evaluated and, according to special indicators, conclusions are drawn in relation to MetalLogic’s footprint on the environment. The aim is to reduce the environmental footprint.
- It takes care of the continuous information and training of its staff regarding the protection of the environment, seeking to cultivate environmental awareness and adopt a responsible attitude towards the environment.
- An assessment of the threat is made, in order to predict it and to investigate the likelihood of it happening again.
- The impact on public image and stakeholders is assessed.
This policy extends to all MetalLogic staff, executives, partners and suppliers and concerns all its actions, processes and activities. MetalLogic Management is committed to fully comply with this policy and to obtain the necessary means to achieve the environmental performance specified by this policy.
